You’re Not Alone

If you are reading this then you may have recently been affected by prostate cancer.

  • Maybe you have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer
  • Maybe you know someone with prostate cancer
  • Maybe you are the wife, partner, or carer of someone who has prostate cancer
  • Maybe you are receiving or have finished treatment

Whatever your situation the good news is that you are not alone. East Suffolk Prostate Cancer Support Group has been set up to offer support, alongside the medical professionals, to anyone who contacts us.

We have all been through the problems that you may be experiencing and sharing these experiences can often help.

East Suffolk Prostate Cancer Group is a Registered Charity No.1164097

About the Group

We are a local group, formed so that the men in East Suffolk with prostate cancer, their families and carers, can meet together to find out more about their illness and what treatments and support are available to them. Selected members are trained in supportive listening and can be contacted by anyone who would like a more personal chat.

The East Suffolk Group meets on the first Wednesday on alternate months (February, April, June, August, October and December) at 7.00pm.

Details are sent to members by post or email before each meeting.

MEMBERSHIP IS FREE OF CHARGE

For meetings held at Ipswich Hospital, parking is also provided at no cost for members who register with us.

At each meeting we have a guest speaker, mainly from the medical profession, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to have a useful exchange of experiences in an open and friendly atmosphere.
